TEN DRUM CULTURAL CREATIVE PARKS 十鼓文創園區

Ten Drum Art Percussion Group was founded in 2000 by composer Shih HSIEH with the aim of keeping alive as well as renewing the great Taiwanese drumming tradition and training future percussionists. Since then, the group has evolved into an institution in Taiwan whose ambition reaches far beyond being a mere performing arts group.

Ten Drum actively contributes to preserving several ancient sugar factory sites in Southern Taiwan by breathing new life into them, turning them into innovative cultural parks where industrial heritage meets the arts, with concerts, workshops, artist residencies and interdisciplinary projects.

Their first album Drum Music Land was nominated at the 2010 Grammy Awards in the category Best Traditional World Music Album.
