Founded in 2010 by architect and choreographer Chieh-hua Hsieh with a focus on contemporary dance theatre stylistics. Anarchy Dance Theatre aims to build up a unique dance vocabulary and training system and a platform that encompasses artistic collaboration from all fields. The name “Anarchy” derived from series of dance pieces Hsieh created in discussion of authority structures in human society. Since the creation of the motion-sensitive dance work, Seventh Sense, was created in 2011, the company has been touring in the UK, the Netherlands, Spain, Hong Kong, UAE, China and New York and gained local and international acclaims from performing arts, multimedia and visual arts communities. Seventh Sense II premiered in November 2012 as a significant work for the Digital Art Festival in Taipei.

成立於2010年，「安娜琪舞蹈劇場」名稱來自於Anarchy的音譯，以舞蹈劇場形式為創作核心，透過肢體再現當今強烈的社會結構中，微妙的權力結構與人際關係，表達我們對於人與生活的關心。積極建構屬於自身舞蹈訓練結構，以肢體的覺察開始，逐漸探索與時間、空間、物體以及他人之間的關係，提升自我的敏感度。企圖打破傳統劇場的空間規範，塑造一個全新的表演場域。舞者、觀眾、互動、劇場、環境，為主要的元素，再透過編舞者對於這些元素之間「關係」的獨特處理方法，營造出屬於安娜琪舞蹈劇場獨特的舞蹈語彙，著眼在探索出屬於當代的舞蹈表現形式。

Chieh-hua HSIEH 謝杰樺

Jeff Chieh-hua Hsieh, the artistic director of Anarchy Dance Theatre, a Taiwanese-based choreographer, who received his BA degree in Architecture and MFA in Dance Choreography. A unique texture and strong structural characteristic of his choreographic works are derived from his architecture background, with focus on awareness of body and its relationship in between with time, space and society.

In 2010, he was invited by Singapore’s Frontier Danceland to collaborate and present a new piece with Artistic Director Low Mei Yoke at Esplanade and to choreography at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2012. His recent work In Freedom (2015) was commissioned by National Theatre & Concert Hall Taiwan and his previous works, Seventh Sense (2011) and Seventh Sense II (2012), were commissioned by Ministry of Culture Taiwan and presented at National Theatre’s blackbox.

Other choreography credits include, Anarchy’s Dream (2009), Anarchy (2008), Gray Mass (2006) and Falling Kiss (2006). His first two works in 2006 have successfully won him prestigious awards of choreography in Taiwan.

謝杰樺，編舞者、安娜琪舞蹈劇場藝術總監。畢業於台灣國立成功大學建築學系，因為對現代舞的興趣與喜好，爾後於國立臺北藝術大學舞蹈創作研究所修習現代舞創作。在建築與舞蹈的雙重背景之下，其作品顯現獨特的創作思維。在他的作品中，獨特的空間概念以及鮮明的肢體風格成為其作品中最為人津津樂道的部份。

杰樺著名的編舞作品包括獲得國藝會與兩廳院所贊助並獲選為該年度新人新視野專案優良作品的《安娜琪的夢想》 (2009) 和《1980的安娜琪》 (2008)、受邀為北藝大舞蹈表演研究所畢業生賴炫均所編創並深獲好評的《Anarchy》 (2008) 、獲得由文建會所主辦2008舞躍大地(National Creative Dance Competition, Taiwan)優選獎的《Falling Kiss》 (2006) ，還有獲得世安美學獎(S-AN Artistic Creation Award, Taiwan)的現代主義作品《灰階混亂》(Gray Mass) (2006)，等…。

2009年秋季獲邀前往美國Colorado College擔任客席教師，並獲選為台北國際藝術村出訪藝術家，受邀於2010年在Texas Christian University和Colorado College發表新作。作品《安娜琪的夢想》受邀於美國科羅拉多舞蹈節、紐約2010年全球舞蹈藝術節、印度加爾各答演出。並於2010年秋天，受邀前往為新加坡 Frontier Danceland舞團創作新作，並於新加坡濱海藝術中心Studio Theater發表。2011年發表了舞蹈與科技跨界製作《第七感官》環境建制計劃的呈現作品，廣受國際好評，於2013年「世界劇場設計展」(World Stage Design)擔綱開幕節目，至今仍邀演不斷。除了劇場內的藝術作品，杰樺也參與2009年高雄世界運動會開幕演出的舞蹈統籌與編排的工作。
